Buying and selling designed item’s I’d found in thrift stores and sample sales, I learned how important perception and presentation was to sales, from a very young age.
Born in Australia to an English Father and Australian mother, my childhood was spent playing on the beaches of Bondi and selling my old toys to neighbours outside the front of my house.
Moved to London and went to a West London primary school.
Buying and selling designer clothes and accessories from unknowing thrift stores, and reselling on eBay.
Went to university to keep my parents happy. Worked out there was a large ‘stoner’ community, started a baking businesses selling cupcakes, brownies and cookies from a strategically placed stand at the entrace near the bike shed.
Evolution of my buying and selling on eBay. Got funding year one to scale. The growing businesses was worn by celebrities, influencers and WAGs.
After growing the business to 15 international retailers, and being courted by ASOS to stock our clothes, I made one fatal supplier decision that caused a catastrophic series of events. And lost everything.
After moving back in with my parents, and less than £1 to my name, I rentered the workforce as a recruiter. Charged with making 100 calls a day, I quickly learned that the formula for being successful was to build 1 to many relationships, not 1-1. I began posting content, and outbilling peers with decades more experience.
In the middle of the global pandemic, I quit my job and I launched Klowt from my bedroom. I wont my first 2 clients within 4 days of launch. 16 weeks later, I was oversubscribed.
Klowt named the UK’s leading personal branding business and one of London’s fastest growing start ups, going from 0 - $3million revenue in 3 years.
LinkedIn named me the UK’s leading top voice on personal branding in the country. I got a cute badge on my profile.
Noticing a bottleneck in the agency model and need for founders to commercialise their personal brands to scale their business, Now, Klowt teaches founders of £1m+ businesses and their teams how to scale founder-led marketing strategies.
